My name is Ellena. You can call me Elle, Lena, Nell, or something completely random! I used to be known here as somanyplanets. I'm twenty and I live in England, though my family roots are firmly in Scotland. I was studying Religion at University but I've decided to save my creativity by leaving - I now want to travel. I'm totally bonkers, I'm not one of the 'cool' girls and I'm the one who always says something awkward in the middle of a serious conversation. I like bright colours - I like rainbows, I like butterflies, I like many things that one would ordinarily find in a child's picture book. I also like philosophy, wine and music. I don't always make sense - my hats speak for me on that score. I am a catastrophe of colour, a mess, a certifiably insane member of society, but being sane is no measure of health as it is so I'm not too worried. I am genuine, I am a little out of my depth, I am trying to swim but I'm no good at the breast stroke - I am constantly reminded about the pitfalls of life, and yet I choose to look up. As to whether I'll sink or reach the shore? I don't know, but I'm hoping to feel dry sand under my feet at the end, unless sinking takes me somewhere magical.

My favourite fandoms include Merlin, Torchwood, Doctor Who, The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Supernatural, Stargate SG: 1, Stargate SG: U, Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space 9 (Enterprise is decent enough, though I can't help but think 'QUANTUM LEAP' whenever Captain Archer appears on-screen), Battlestar Galactica, Babylon Five, House, True Blood, and a LOT of anime - Naruto, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Blue Submarine Six, Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Ghost in the Shell, The Animatrix, Hellsing, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and many more that I just can't fit onto the page.

As for movies, I'll give anything a try - as long as it won't waste two hours of my life. I love thrillers, romances, dark comedies, historical epics, fantasy, science fiction, and pretty much every decent genre you can think of. I love The City of Lost Children, a French film that hardly anyone I know has watched - if you have it or can get ahold of it, WATCH IT. A few other favourites of mine include A.I: artificial intelligence, black beauty, I Robot, Constantine, Underworld, The Chronicles of Riddick, Pitch Black, The Matrix, The Chronicles of Narnia, Four Brothers, Avatar, Wicker Park, I Am Legend, Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek XI, Casper, Fight Club, and The Neverending Story.
